Where At? When?

Yeah, we get it, there’s a lot of beach along the lake. Even Montrose Beach doesn’t quite narrow it down. The address: 200 W. Montrose Harbor Drive, Chicago, Illinois 60640.

Montrose Beach

You’re totally allowed to bring foldable chairs, blankets and towels. We want you to be comfortable! We want you to have a great time!

If you plan on eating or drinking at the beach, bring a little extra cash. The Dock at Montrose Beach will be serving up; Vienna Beef hot dogs, Polish sausage, Italian beef, potato chips, Gatorade, Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, Sierra Mist, water and of course beer and wine.

Here’s a list of what you CAN’T bring and things you CAN’T do:

Weapons of any kind
Audio or visual recording
Professional photography
Outside food or beverage (except one 12oz or less bottled water, per ticket holder)
Umbrellas or flags
Laser Pointers or fireworks
No PA devices. Whistles, horns, etc.
No animals (except service related)

Who’s Performing?!

Well Huey Lewis & The News, obviously. You know this. You probably also know Huey Lewis & The News are celebrating the 30th anniversary of their hit album “Sports.” This means you’ll hear the band perform songs from “Sports,” plus many other hits and surprises. Look for all of your favorites like “The Power of Love,” “The Heart of Rock & Roll,” “Heart & Soul,” “I Want a New Drug,” “Walking on a Thin Line,” “If This Is It,” “Hip To Be Square,” “It’s Alright,” “Do You Believe In Love,” “Workin For A Livin” and many more!

What you may not know, is that the Million Dollar Quartet is opening the concert with a special live performance. The Million Dollar Quartet is the Chicago smash-hit muscial concert inspired by the famed recording session that brought together rock ‘n’roll icons like Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins for the first and only time. Yes, the Million Dollar Quartet are as fun as they sound.

Travel & Parking

If you’re driving to the show, feel free to find street parking West of the beach. Parking is free on Sundays on the streets!  You can also try parking in the following parking lots: 4600 N Lakeshore, 4400 N Simonds, 4921 N Marine Dr, and 5017 N Winthrop Ave. The lots off Simonds will have a free trolley  running right before and right after show time, up to the entrance.

If you’re good with public transportation, you can also get to Montrose Beach from the Red Line by getting off at Wilson or Lawrence. You can also take the #146 bus, #135 bus, #78 bus, or a slew of other buses, depending on what direction you’re coming from. Head to for schedules.

See Ya There!

Rain or shine — or whatever else Chicago’s crazy weather throws at us — we will be there.

Thankfully, it sounds like it’ll be really nice out.

Some come! Have a good time! It’d be a shame to miss what is going to be the best show of the summer.
