Scottie Pippen is currently the Senior Advisor to the President and Chief Operating Officer to the Chicago Bulls. The Basketball Hall Of Famer is a role model for today’s players and a trusted source of expert views on talent. Winner of multiple championships with the Bulls out of the University of Central Arkansas, Scottie was the ideal partner of Michael Jordan.
Rookies are working out here in Chicago at the Columbine and sources report the general manager of the New York Knicks met privately with Scottie on Thursday. So far Knicks’ president Phil Jackson hasn’t spoken to Scottie but everyone knows what an ideal assistant coach he would be. It remains to be seen if this is a role Scottie would like at this point. He obviously valued very highly with the Bulls’ organization.
His family lives on Chicago’s north shore and they have a home in Florida so it would be a major decision to move to the Big Apple for the NBA Season.
Personally I’d hate to see him leave but if it’s something he’d be interested in, I know he’d do a great job working with young players.
