It seems that director┬áM. Night Shyamalan may have a hit on his hands with his new movie “Split.”

The Universal Picture’s film was #1 again this past weekend, adding another $14.5 million to it’s haul of nearly 99 million dollars total at the box office.

The third installment of the “Rings” horror film trilogy finished just behind “Split” with an even $13,000,000 in it’s first week of release.

“A Dog’s Purpose” finished in third, although there’s been a bunch of controversy surrounding that film that may (or may not) have hurt it’s run at the box office.

“Hidden Figures” and “La La Land” rounded out the top five.

Next week “The Great Wall” with Matt Damon and “Fist Fight” with Ice Cube open up, so it’ll be interesting to see just what ends up whee on this list next week.
