If you have the single for “My Sweet Lord” and flip it over, you’ll find this song, “What is Life.”

Both songs were huge hits from George Harrison’s “All Things Must Pass” triple album that came out in 1971.

Funny thing is, Harrison didn’t originally write the song for himself.

He wrote it for singer Billy Preston, who worked with The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and others. For whatever reason, Preston never recorded it.

The song was a hit all over the world when it came out and has continued to be used in movies and TV to this day.

I’ve heard it in “Goodfellas,” “Patch Adams” and “Big Daddy.”
