How many TV themes can you think of that were turned into hit hip hop songs?

I can only think of one, and that’s only because I have kids!

This was the theme of TV show “Knight Rider” during it’s first incarnation on NBC from 1982 until 1986.

This was David Hasselhoff before he had a hit with the “Baywatch” TV show, but it’s just as campy as that series was!

You know, Hasselhoff has been pretty lucky in his career, considering he went from a show were he got to drive a cool car to a show where he hung out with women in bathing suits all the time!

But, back to “Knight Rider”, who didn’t want a car like KITT?

12 years after the show ended, it’s theme song ended up being sampled for the 1998 Busta Rhymes tune “Turn It Up.”

I don’t know about you, but I think I prefer the original version!
