“Rumor spreadin’ a-’round in that Texas town…’bout that shack outside La Grange…”

Just in case you’re wondering, ZZ Top wasn’t referencing La Grange, Illinois in their song of the same name, but actually La Grange, Texas.

That makes sense, since all  the guys in the group are actually from the Lone Star State!

ZZ Top released the song “La Grange” in 1973, off of their “Tres Hombres” album.

Here’s a funny fact, even though the song came out in the early 70’s, ZZ Top didn’t actually play the song in the town that it is named after until 2015!
