Remember the Swedish Flag Water Tower that was on top of the Swedish American Museum in Andersonville?
Do you also remember that really harsh winter we had a couple of years back?
That’s the reason the original water tower, which had been there since the late 20’s, had to come down!
Well, now a new better, stronger one has replaced it!
Instead of wood, this one is made of fiberglass and steel and will be able to last even longer!
According to DNA Info Chicago, it took over $165,000 in fundraising efforts to put the new one up!
If you want to go check it out, it’s located at 5211 N. Clark St!
