The Highland Park District has had a youth football program since the 70’s, but it won’t this year.

Officials told The Chicago Tribune that the registration numbers have been dropping year to year….and this year only 11 people signed up, so they decided to cancel it.

Speculation is that some parents are worried about head injuries, because other sports, like baseball and flag football are still going well.

If more people sign up next year, it’ll be back on, but as for this year, it’s done!

My son played on the Hinsdale Falcons Pop Warner teams….and he loved it!
