The rains this past weekend flooded the Chicago Riverwalk and caused it to close, but not for long.
The Mayor’s office announced that it’ll reopen today now that the water has receded and everything has been power washed and cleaned up.
The waters got close, but didn’t get into the restaurants along the Riverwalk, which is good news.
What’s funny is the spin that Mayor’s office has put on this whole thing.
They told the Sun-Times that they expected something like this to happen, so the stuff along the Riverwalk was made of materials that can be underwater for awhile and still be OK!
