Animal rights groups don’t think the lights in the new Apple store Downtown are such a bright idea.

The Chicago Tribune says the store will dim the lights at night because too many birds are flying into the building and dying.

The animal rights group Chicago Bird Collision Monitors says that the bright lights confuse the birds at night and that’s why they’ve been crashing into the glass windows of that place.

I’m surprised that it doesn’t happen more often with our skyline, but I never knew there was an organized group called the Chicago Bird Collision Monitors.
