Hand sanitizer seems to be the latest MUST-HAVES when we leave the house lately; however, there is a safety warning about it going into the warmer weather/ summertime.

The fire department is reminding us to NOT leave hand sanitizer in a hot car.

“By its nature, most hand sanitizer is alcohol-based and therefore flammable. Keeping it in your car during hot weather, exposing it to the sun causing magnification of light through the bottle, and particularly being next to open flame while smoking in vehicles or grilling while enjoying this weekend can lead to disaster".
