Jussie Smollett Case: Ed Lover Calls Out Lee Daniels For Claiming Straight Men With Platform Are Silenced

Ed Lover has a rebuttal

January 31, 2019

Empire star, Jussie Smollett, was attacked in Chicago on Tuesday for what seems like a hate crime. It was reported that two men came up to Smollett beat him, tied a noose around his neck, and yelled racial/ homophobic slurs to the singer. Many stars have shared their love and support for the singer. Lee Daniels, creator of Empire, showed huge dissapointment of the situatioin and called Jussie his son. He went onto Instagram to then bash straight men for not using their platform and claiming they are silenced over the situation.

There has been a deafening silence from my straight brothers that have a platform !! Thank you @iamsteveharveytv ---------- #speaking

Our very own Ed Lover was NOT having this because he was one of the first people to actually post about this and give his support to Smullett after learning about the attack. He did leave a comment on Daniel's video and also took the situation to the air.
