Can You Kick Better Than Cody Parkey?

If So, Goose Island Will Give You Free Beer For a Year

January 9, 2019

To all the nay-sayers and haters who are STILL talking smack about Bears kicker Cody Parkey, Goose Island wants to see if YOU can do his job better than he can!

This past Sunday, our beloved Bears lost in the most dramatic way possible during a playoff game, when kicker Cody Parkey’s 43-yard field goal attempt dinged off the goal posts — not once, but twice — to end what had been a strong and a quite possible Super Bowl ending winning season.

But this week, following hella social media backlash against poor Parkey, Goose Island Beer Co. comes to the rescue with a super idea, our friends at the famous brewery are offering free booze for a YEAR to anyone who can make the same field goal attempt like Parkey! Check this out, hot off the press over at the Chicago Tribune:

"The brewery announced on social media Monday night that it would do its part to help fans understand the difficulty of nailing a 43-yard field goal.

The prize?

A free case of beer each week for a year for anyone who makes the kick."

So on Saturday, January 12th 2019, Goose Island will make a goal in front of its brewery at 1800 W. Fulton St. Signups to kick will run from noon until 1 p.m. and kicking starts at 1 p.m.

The “beer for a year” deal amounts to a free case of a different Goose Island beer each week, chosen by the brewery. Are you in or out? If so, Good Luck!
